Introducing Custom Commands

You can now teach Tracelight any of your repeat workflows in Excel and execute them with just two keystrokes.

This feature is designed to automate your most common, multi-step processes, saving you time and ensuring consistency.

What it can do

  • Automate Complex Workflows: Teach Tracelight multi-step processes like a first-cut LBO analysis, building a DCF model, or cohort analysis.

  • Save and Share Commands: Create a personal library of custom commands that you can run at any time.

  • Execute Instantly: Run any saved workflow using a simple “/” keyboard shortcut, turning hours of work into seconds.

How it works

  1. Start a new command from the top left of the Tracelight panel.

  2. Build a prompt to describe the workflow you want to automate in plain English. You can also use Tracelight’s chat to help build highly specialized prompts.

  3. Save the prompt as a command, and use it whenever by typing forward slash.
