Product Update: Faster Chat and Deterministic Search

We’ve just shipped a new update focused on performance and accuracy. Tracelight chat now starts 3x faster, and a new deterministic pattern matching engine makes file cleanup simple and reliable.

This update includes several improvements based on user feedback.

What's New

• 3x Faster Chat Startup: We rebuilt our core Excel extraction algorithms from the ground up. This dramatically reduces wait time after opening the add-in, getting you to your first prompt three times faster.

• Smarter Clarification: Tracelight is now significantly better at asking the right clarifying questions before executing a complex, multi-step task. This improves first-time accuracy and reduces the need for re-prompting.

• Automated Copy-Paste: The agent can now copy and paste data directly between cells, ranges, and sheets when performing custom commands. This is a massive speed-up and accuracy improvement for many tasks.

• Deterministic Search: You can now find every instance of a query with 100% accuracy. Prompts like “find EVERY #REF! error in this file” or "highlight every cell with blue font" will now deterministically find all results. This makes file-wide cleanup and sanitization simple.

• Bug Fixes: This release also includes numerous smaller bug fixes and performance enhancements.
